Roles of Editorial Board Members

Editorial Board members are mainly responsible for the maintenance of fluent integrity and the smooth functioning of every journal.

  • Editors are the master mind of inspection. They shall maintain the reputation of identifying the error in just a shot and take the preventive measure as immediately as possible.
  • Editor must strictly follow the policy guidelines setup by the publisher upon reviewing and editing policy that are meant for the editorial board members.
  • The editor must ensure that the civility process and the fairness shall be closely monitored.
  • Editor shall maintain the timely release issue since they are the main factor of overall growth and progression of the Journals.
  • Editor shall report the higher authorities as soon as possible for any kind of issue faced during the significant development and the growth of journals.
  • Editors are allowed to discuss the controversies with the author and higher authorities to clear the doubts that might be occurring upon editing any content.



Role of Editors towards Scientific Community

  • Editor must strictly ensure that the manuscript is legible with the content & information that has been provided by the author.
  • Manuscript must be evaluated by the editor to ensure whether it falls under the scope of the requested Journal.
  • An editor must suggest all the external supplemental data while dealing with correction when necessary.
  • Editor must take an effort to attract frequently relevant researches that catches the eye of a reader to draw their interest.
  • Editor shall strictly follow the policy of the publisher to take steps upon the unethical practices, such as violation of Copyrights & Plagiarism, etc.
  • Editorial board members shall promote the development of scientific society by promoting the discussion of debate for a prominent amelioration.



Role of Editors towards the Journal

  • Upon receiving the review comments, editors are the final decision maker for the acceptance or the rejection of article for publication.
  • Manuscript shall be evaluated by the editor for any kind of intellectual content such as race, gender, sexual orientation, religious belief, ethnic origin, citizenship or political philosophy of the authors without any bias.
  • Editorial staff shall maintain the proper stage of processing of the submitted manuscript, names and affiliations of the author, reviewers, potential reviewers, other editorial advisers and the publisher.



Standard Scheme of Editorial Processing of the Manuscript


  1. Primary submission of the manuscript by the corresponding author.
  2. Manuscript Registration and generation of manuscript number.
  3. Responding the author for acknowledgement within 24 hours with the receipt.
  4. Compliance verification with the scope of the journal.
  5. Editorial manager shall receive the manuscript from the Editor-in-Chief.
  6. Article type determination: Review, Research, Case Report, Survey Study, Expert opinion, Short Communication, Letter to the Editor.
  7. Plagiarism checking and preliminary quality extension of the article.
  8. Screening for potentiality of the active reviewers and assignment to the reviewers.
  9. At least 3 independent reviewers shall be screened by the Managing Editor.
  10. Within the time frame of 10 days securing the review comments.
  11. The Managing Editor can either make a recommendation to the Editor-in-Chief upon the receipt of reviewer comments in the system, based on the reviews of their opinion. Or to begin a discussion involving all the Reviewers, Managing Editor and the Editor-in-Chief for any kind of disagreement.
  12. Upon the consultation of Editorial board and Editor-in-Chief, the final decision shall be taken based on the review comments for Acceptance/Rejection/Re-review/Minor revision/Major revision.
  13. ACCEPTED: Can be published as it is the time for being with minor typos or artifacts.
    REJECTED: The paper is out of scope. Since it might not contain any substantial contribution or may be simply too difficult to understand, so in such cases the same work shall not be re-submitted without any substantial improvisation.
    ACCEPT WITH MINOR REVISION: On following the reviewer’s comment, the manuscript has to be slightly revised without any additional round of review. The responsible staff for the verification of implementation and modification are the action Editor or the Editor-in-Chief.
    REVISE AND RE-SUBMIT: In some cases if it is agreed that the topic is worth publishing, but the paper still requires a major revisions before it can be actually published, then the revised paper shall not be considered as a final submission. Even though if a revised version is sent within 6 months, it will be probably be handled by the same action editor.
  14. After a final decision has been made, the authors are notified by the Editor-in-Chief or the Managing Editor.
  15. Revision of the manuscript, application of style sheet, assignment of DOI number within 30 business days.
  16. Copying the edited manuscript and generation of the Author-proof.
  17. Generation of galley proof and approval by the author(s)
  18. Hosting on website with volume, issue and year of publication.
  19. Archiving the articles on the database.
