Dyspepsia is a common problem now a day’s which affects health status drastically which in turns affecting day to day work. Dyspepsia has an heterogeneous patho-physiology with an extensive differential diagnostic criteria. It has two major distinguishing features Non ulcer dyspepsia and ulcer dyspepsia. Most of the dyspeptic patients are presented with ingestion of some particular foods. Dyspepsia most commonly seen in patients with faulty habit of diet, nervous exhaustion, stress, anxiety, depression. There are also some organic disorders that are associated with dyspepsia. Dyspepsia can easily overcome if treatment starts earlier. Proper explanation of diet with reassurance and proper counseling to relieve stress factors can help more precisely. The role of diet is very much potential in the treatment of dyspepsia which have generally ignored. 

Diseases of unknown origin / undetectable aetiological factors is probably not a new experience of the human society . Since beginning of the human civilization they observed that, an individual cannot avoid disease hence the ancient scholars say “THE HUMAN BODY IS THE SELTER OF DISEASES (SHARIRAM VYADHIMANDIRAM)”. In the course of search for the root cause of the diseases the scholars identified a good number of aetiology and found out the remedial measures . But for some diseases it was difficult to identify the aetiology . These diseases manifested with some unusual signs and symptoms with peculiar character of spread, mortality etc. For these situations some invisible aetiological factors were considered and were named with different names. In due course, probably with the invention of the newer instruments, like microscope, most of the previously invisible disease causing agents came under the visibility and depending upon their particular character named with different names ,like bacteria , fungi , virus etc. which facilitated the invention of newer and effective treatment modules and medicines for the benefit of the human society. Even with a sophisticated and acclaimed effective devices for investigation and treatment for the different types of newer diseases the recently spreaded SARS-CoV -2 infection is making the society in dilemma and trouble in handling the situation of mass infection and casualty. Hence an effort is made to look to the past starting from the inception of virology with the reference of the ancient Ayurvedic classics, viz. Charaka Samhita, Susruta Samhita , Ashtanga Sangraha and Ashtanga Hridaya with special reference to the concept of virus and viral infection which is seemed to be of great importance for the present situation.

Peptic ulcer is an excoriated area of stomach or intestinal mucosa caused principally by the digestive action of gastric juice or upper small intestinal secretions. Since NSAID abuse is the main exogenous cause of refractory peptic ulcer the present model was chosen. In the present study gastric ulceration was induced by single dose of Aspirin 400 mg/kg on 7th day of the experiment. The experiment consists of treatment with the test herb and standard drug for seven days and on seventh day inducing the ulcer with aspirin. On 8th day pyloric ligation was performed on all the rats under light ether anesthesia on fasted animals over night from 7th day after pyloric ligation. The stomach was replaced and abdomen was then sutured. After 4 hours the rats were sacrificed with proper doses of ether and stomach was dissected out. After that stomach was opened along the greater curvature and the contents were collected in test tubes for analysis. The mucosa of the stomach was examined for ulcers and subjected for gastric mucus estimation. In all the parameters estimated it was found that the Methanolic Extract of Rhizomes of Alpinia Nigra (MERAN) showed similar results as of the standard drug Omeprazole which was significantly better than the aspirin control group. The findings of the present study put forward Alpinia Nigra as a promising new anti-ulcerogenic agent, which can be further evaluated with more refined techniques and innovate formulations with least adverse for the treatment of gastric ulcers.

Statistics are alarming and shocking on the recent media reports of the high number of girls who have become pregnant during the lockdown of Covid 19 and has  prompted the researcher to find out the reasons why these early pregnancies in Gucha South Sub-county have been increasing for more than a decade now with no solution  so far. The study was governed by Joyce Epstein’s and Socialization theories. The study used mixed methodology and concurrent triangulation design in data collection Mixed methodology was used in this study since both qualitative and quantitative data was collected and analyzed and the research design adopted was be concurrent triangulation. The target population consisted of all the seven 37 principals, 650 teachers and 15,865 students and 15, 865 parents totaling to 32,417 respondents in all the secondary schools in Gucha South sub- County. In this study 300 respondents were sampled purposively who included 24 Principals, 48 Guidance and Counselling teachers, 96 teachers, 48 parents who children have become pregnant or are affected by family wrangles and 84 girls, some who are pregnant or whose parents are involved in family conflicts. The research instruments included Questionnaires for guidance and counselling teachers and class teachers, interview guide for Principals and document analysis for the pregnant cases. The instruments were in piloted Bamachoge Sub-County for reliability, validity, dependability and credibility. Validity of the instruments ascertained through expert judgment and reliability was attained through test re-test and calculated using Cronbach alpha where internal consistency of 0.7 was be considered reliable. Credibility was ascertained through data triangulation and to ensure that the study findings was dependable every step was be well articulated and detailed. Qualitative data was analyzed thematically by identification of common themes and presented in narrative form along study objectives while quantitative data was analyzed using descriptive statistics and inferentially using the SPSS Version 23 and findings presented using tables and graphs The results of this research showed an existence of a correlation between family conflict and early pregnancies, this influence was determined using Karl Pearson’s coefficient correlation of 0.7. The study was able to establish that family conflicts play an important role in destabilizing the family and when children lack guidance, they can become victims of Erly pregnancies. These findings mean there is need for all sectors of the society from the church to assist in planning of marriages to its implementing and managing to be all inclusive and take care of emotional needs of these parents, as much as social and emotional aspects are considered so that the girls can complete their education. The government must also play its in ensuring the stability of the family which will lead to reduction in quarrels, better communication and minimal divorces.
