Enhancing Job Satisfaction: Exploring the Mediating Role of Organizational Commitment in the Job Redesign and Transformational Leadership (Study of millennial and Z generation workers in West Kalimantan)

Abstract
Purpose: This study explores what things can increase job satisfaction in millennial and generation Z workers who have different expectations and priorities regarding their work compared to the previous generation. Design/methodology/approach: this research is a quantitative study with the number of sample used as many as110 millennial workers and the z generation, data testing was carried out using the PLS-SEM method. Research Result: based on the test results, it was found that the results of all existing test models can be acceptable because all hypothesis testing result show significant results with significance level of 5%. Originality/value: the novelty in this study is that based on test results it is stated that transformational leadership style can influence job redesign, and in this study it is also found that the job redesign variable is able to act as a mediating variable for transformational leadership style on organizational commitment and transformational leadership style on job satisfaction Recommendation: in this study there are several recommendations. The first is to focus research on the private sector, especially in industries related to digital considering that millennial generation and generation Z are generations that are difficult to separate from the development of digital technology. The second is add variables that describe the personality of the two generations , as well as a discussion of the balance of life the millennial and z generation.
