Proposed Marketing Strategy for PT Indonesia Asahan Aluminium to Increase Market Share

Abstract
Inalum, Indonesia's sole primary aluminium smelter, aims to increase its market share in the domestic market. This research conducted qualitative interviews and extensive internal and external analyses to develop a marketing strategy for Inalum that align with the corporate strategy. The analysis revealed that while Inalum dominates the ingot market domestically, imported products prevail in the value-added segment. The corporate strategy of Inalum is growth through product development as the portfolio, and the strategic alliance among the holding company. With the domestic aluminium industry projected to grow, the strategy focuses on leveraging strengths and addressing market dynamics. Key strategies include emphasizing Inalum's sustainable green aluminium smelter, conducting market analysis for product development, expanding production capacity and upgrading technology, and maximizing promotion through existing sales channels and collaboration with MIND ID Trading. These strategies aim to enhance market share and seize future opportunities. By capitalizing on sustainability, market analysis, capacity expansion, and strategic collaborations, Inalum can strengthen its position in the domestic market and thrive in the growing aluminium industry.
